He has held various leadership positions at prominent Islamic organizations, including Vice President at the Islamic Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, Secretary and Sunday School Principal at the Islamic Foundation of Greater Valley Forge (ISVGF) in Pennsylvania, and Sunday School Principal, Education Committee Chairman, Board of Trustees member, and Vice Chairman at Islamic Foundation North (FN).

Additionally, Dr. Ahmad's leadership extends to his involvement with the Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association of Greater Chicago (AMUAAGC), where he has served as President multiple times and as Board of Trustees chairman. Throughout his career, Dr. Ahmad has held significant positions at various pharmaceutical companies, including Chief Technical Officer at Therapeutic Proteins International, Senior Vice President of Technical Operations at Goodwin Biotechnology, Vice President of Process Development and Manufacturing at Bradmer Pharmaceuticals, Vice President of Process Development and Manufacturing at NeoPharm, and senior positions at Hoffmann-La Roche and GlaxoSmithKline. His extensive experience and expertise have been instrumental in advancing therapeutic protein and vaccine development, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the field.
