Hira Public School Project 3

The organization received a new education project from Hira Public School, Ambedkar Nagar, UP.  As we all know, the Hira Public was initially funded by AMUAA-GC well-wishers in 1988. Since then, the school has made good progress and expanded to hold classes up to 10+2 grade as per the CBSE course curriculum. As of now, the school has 1000 boy and 800 girl students and 90+ teaching and non-teaching staff.

Amena Girls School

Successful completion of Amena Girls School Project sponsored by AMUAA-GC. The project accomplished the construction of Sir Syed Conference Hall, which had opening ceremony on Jan 7, 2014. It was a large gathering of students, parents, teachers, and local citizens. Senior Aligarians Tariq Gauri, Custom & Excise Commissioner Aftab Khan, I.G. of CRPF, Dr. Nuzhat Husain, Director - Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital,Lucknow, Dr. Aslam Siddiqui, Principal - Islamia College, Zafar Yab Jeelani, Advocate General UP) were also present at the ceremony.

LITTLE FAIRY NISWAN SCHOOL

AMU Alumni Association Greater Chicago provided funds for establishing a computer center for school Madarsa Little Fairy Niswan, Kanpur, U.P, India. The computer center was successfully completed on April 26, 2014. The projected project cost was $4500, however the school management worked very efficiently and saved about $1600 (97,685 Indian rupees) from the funds provided and purchased additional computers for the students.

Bahraich School Project

On Oct 11, 2008 AMUAA-GC approved to support the construction of two classrooms, furnish them with necessary classroom furniture, a toilet for girls where none existed, and a provision for fresh drinking water for a school in village called Mudki in Bahraich, U.P. The District Bahraich, located at Indo-Nepal border, is one of the most economically disadvantaged area in India. This school building was dilapidated and eminent danger of collapse. Consequently, classes for children were held outdoors on the muddy ground.

Support to AMU girls students in the times of pandemic

AMUAA-GC contributed INR 8,000,000 to support remote learning of underprivileged girls students hit by COVID to purchase laptops and smart devices in the times of pandemic, after an appeal to the alumni by AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor. Construction of Additional Floor

Dr. Usman Ghani Computer Institute for Girls

Haroon Nagar, Sector II, Phulwari Sharif, Patna, Bihar, India.

The project submitted by me on July 20, 2016 for construction of additional floor in USMAN GHANI COMPUTER INSITUTE FOR GIRLS, SECTOR II, PHULWARI SHARIF, PATNA, BIHAR, INDIA.

Amount of the project was $ 36,365.00 (Rs. 24,34,877.00) which was funded by AMUAA – GC.

The construction additional floor was started on September 1, 2016.

The construction was completed on October 24, 2017.

Class Room Extension Project

AMUAA of Chicago invited members to sponsor a project for Girls School Education. Executive Council and Board received and accepted a proposal from Jaliliya Muslim Girls Higher Secondary School, Daliganj, Lucknow. The proposal asked for extending girls education from X to XI and XII standards. This required the construction of two class rooms and furnishing them.

Gauti School Project

Shaheed Deputy Collector Hikmatullah Darsgah School is located in a small village, Gauti in District Fatehpur, UP. This school is registered under minority status by the U.P. State Government; it provides basic education to girls from this small village. A request to fund building a classroom was approved and funded by AMUAA-GC in September 2008. Construction began the month of October 2008, the work is now complete, and the classroom is currently used to educate girls.

Library Renovation Project
