Bahraich School Project

On Oct 11, 2008 AMUAA-GC approved to support the construction of two classrooms, furnish them with necessary classroom furniture, a toilet for girls where none existed, and a provision for fresh drinking water for a school in village called Mudki in Bahraich, U.P. The District Bahraich, located at Indo-Nepal border, is one of the most economically disadvantaged area in India. This school building was dilapidated and eminent danger of collapse. Consequently, classes for children were held outdoors on the muddy ground.

Class Room Extension Project

AMUAA of Chicago invited members to sponsor a project for Girls School Education. Executive Council and Board received and accepted a proposal from Jaliliya Muslim Girls Higher Secondary School, Daliganj, Lucknow. The proposal asked for extending girls education from X to XI and XII standards. This required the construction of two class rooms and furnishing them.
