Bahraich School Project

On Oct 11, 2008 AMUAA-GC approved to support the construction of two classrooms, furnish them with necessary classroom furniture, a toilet for girls where none existed, and a provision for fresh drinking water for a school in village called Mudki in Bahraich, U.P. The District Bahraich, located at Indo-Nepal border, is one of the most economically disadvantaged area in India. This school building was dilapidated and eminent danger of collapse. Consequently, classes for children were held outdoors on the muddy ground.


As part of the AMUAA-GC supported project, the old building was demolished, new classrooms were constructed and furnished. Separate toilet facilities were added for girls and boys, a hand pump for fresh drinking water was installed.The classrooms and other facilities are fully finished and currently used by students.
