Awareness Matters

Each month of the year has its own health observations to bring light to the wellness issues that impact our society. One of the biggest tools to fight health conditions is through the power of human connection. Awareness matters. Each month “Be Well and Healthy”, provides health education and promotion information, material, and resources, to raise the health awareness among the community. Educational and fundraising events are often held at these times to create a ripple effect of positivity and empowerment for not only those living with health conditions, but their loved ones, too. By increasing the awareness, the people acquire the knowledge, skills, and information to make healthy choices, enabling them to have better control over their own health and wellbeing, and adopting healthier lifestyles which supports the prevention of serious health conditions. That’s why awareness months, weeks, and days are so important. Together we demonstrate to spread awareness and show support.

Remember, every individual is responsible for her/his own health and well-being.
