Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association of Greater Chicago (AMUAA-GC) organized Annual picnic, General Body Meeting and Annual Election on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Century Park, 1001 Lakeview Road, Vernon Hills 60061. The venue was comfortable and safe for the kids. All the guests were happy with the location and site for a picnic.

All the volunteers participated with full joy and exultation. All assigned tasks were completed on time.

The key part was to start preparation of BBQ around 10:45AM, BBQ items and other food items were ready before guests started arriving at 11:30AM. The food item includes BBQ Chicken/Burgers, Chole, Fruits, Sweets, Soft drinks etc. As per feedback received from guests, the food was delicious and well cooked, no complain received for BBQ or any other item. Traditional Jelebi was missing and many guests asked about it. Food items like hotdogs were wasted in large quantity, which should be removed from next time.

Many new guests attended the picnic and an introduction session was conducted. This helped all the members and guests to get to know each other. Mrs. Fahmeena Ali became a new life member and Mr. Mohammad Qamar became a new family member of AMUAA-GC. Some lighter moments like songs, jokes, etc. were performed by many guests and everyone enjoyed the happy moment.

This year, we designed AMUAA logo T-Shirt and everyone liked it and many wore on picnic day to show their love and affection towards organization. Please contact to Dr. Ahmadullah Siddiqui if you want to get AMUAA T-Shirt by paying $15.

The game activities like the magic show, painting, and coloring were arranged for the kids and all kids showed good participation and enthusiasm.

Zuhr salah was arranged and performed by volunteers at 1:30PM.

Election and General Body meeting were conducted and completed smoothly as per schedule between 2PM-3PM.

Overall, it was a FUN Sunday and wonderful get together for AMUAA family including kids. All volunteers worked hard to make the picnic successful. The picnic was concluded at 4:30 PM and volunteers helped to wrap up and cleaned the area. A group photograph was taken at the end.
