QUESTION: Who are the Mentors that participate in the program?
ANSWER: The Mentors are mostly Alumni’s who are Faculty, Company Executives, Accomplished Researchers  representing diverse background, expertise and a strong interest in nurturing Students and helping them with the Professional goals.   
QUESTION: What is the time commitment?
ANSWER: The time commitment can vary widely. But it is expected that the more time should be donated by Student to the Mentor.  This way a Student will get more out of the program. 
QUESTION: How do I participate in the Mentorship program?
ANSWER: Please contact your local coordinator.  In case of Students, the local Coordinator is usually a faculty member of the department.  Fill out an application and submit it to the coordinator.  
QUESTION: Is the Mentorship Program for Students designed to get a job or admission to a Ph.D. or other Program?
ANSWER: No! The Mentorship Program is not an employment finding opportunity or a University Admission Program. It is designed for the Student to gain understanding and guidance which will help Student to obtain job or admission to a Ph.D. or other Program.  
QUESTION: What are the basic responsibilities of the Mentor?
ANSWER: (A) Define expectations and rules at the beginning of the mentoring relationship; reiterate when necessary (B) Be available to the Mentees via email, phone or meetings whenever possible.
QUESTION: What are the basic responsibilities of the Student?
ANSWER: (A) Prepare and do the appropriate "homework" before meeting or phone calls to the Mentors (B)  Mentees should candidly discuss their needs and objectives with their Mentors (C) Mentee must take responsibility for his or her career and goals 
QUESTION: What can a Mentor do for a Student?
ANSWER: Mentor can help Student (A) Enhance professional development, (B) Provide career guidance, (C) Increase professional network, (D) Improving awareness in various disciplines, and (E) Develop leadership skills.
QUESTION: Will Mentor provide financial assistance?
ANSWER: No! This is not in the scope of the Mentorship program.
 QUESTION: Is the Mentoring Program voluntary?
ANSWER: Yes. Mentoring takes commitment and time on the part of both the Mentor and Mentee. It is very important that people choose to become mentoring partners in order to help the Mentee achieve their objectives for the partnership.
