Mrs. Fatima Hail was elected for a 2-year term in 2009 election and will continue to serve until the 2011 election.

Mr. Anis Khan was unanimously selected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Short-term Goals
Membership Drive
Increase the membership of AMUAA Chicago and make the organization more transparent in its operations and more inclusive in its nature. Member get a member campaign!

Long-term Goals
Friends of AMU - Distant Mentorship Program.
AMUAA of Chicago is encouraging all well placed ALIGS to become volunteers and be a part of the distant mentorship program. In this initiative, currently enrolled students at the AMU are given access to contact information on potential mentors who have relevant experience to provide useful advise to younger students who are in the process of beginning their career. Coordinators direct the potential students to the "seniors" in academia, industry or other spheres of activities to "learn" by asking critical questions and seeking guidance. Girls Education / Needy Students Education.
Primary & Secondary education is vital for the progress of any society. To nurture our children so they become able architects of tomorrow by being good leaders & statesmen, doctors & engineers, scientists, lawyers, teachers, social scientists etc we need to get them to schools today. Towards this goal Girls’ education is of utmost importance.
Today's girls, our daughters and sisters, are tomorrow's mothers. A mother is the first and the foremost teacher of a child. She is entrusted with raising the next generation that will inherit this planet. Education provides some of the critically important tools and techniques that a mother needs to empower herself to do a superb job. Imagine the world in which all mothers are educated.
